Announcing OVEREXPOSED, our first Q&A ~ plus something special for the London Film Festival
Everything you ever wanted to know about being in a writers' room in the UK
A couple of dates for your diary ~ tickets are VERY limited so we recommend booking ASAP.
Overexposed ~ in dialogue with Daniel Marc Janes and Sorcha Kurien-Walsh
Wednesday 27th September at 8:30pm at The Glitch
Join us for the first ever OVEREXPOSED ~ our Q&A series where we host conversations with the industry superstars we know and love.
The inaugural Overexposed is about writers’ room experience in the UK.
Daniel Marc Janes (The Crown, Netflix) and our very own Sorcha Kurien-Walsh (Rivals, coming to Disney+) will talk about their careers to date, give us the inside scoop on what a day in the writers’ room looks like, and share tips and advice they have for aspiring writers looking to take their career forward.
Read more about our brilliant speakers and book your tickets to our very first event of this kind here (and be quick because it’s a very intimate space):
Messy Messy Drinks ~ pre-LFF mixer
Tuesday 3rd October from 7pm at Vout-O-Reenee’s
After yet another so-brilliant-we’re-still-hungover night, it’s time to announce our next monthly party.
Messy Messy Drinks on Tuesday 3rd October will be a London Film Festival mixer!
A reminder that these are technically ‘networking’ drinks, but they’re for people like us who absolutely despise the concept of networking, and prefer to just have fun and maybe make friends with other writers and collaborators. It’s just a great time in a Crypt below a church ~ who doesn’t love the sound of that?
We all absolutely love LFF so for everyone else gearing up for the best weeks of new cinema that London has to offer, this is a chance to talk about the screenings we are most looking forward to.
As always, this party is *free*, but we ask you to book your space so that we have a heads up on numbers and who exactly came (because we won’t remember!):
Weekly Writual ~ every fucking Saturday
Literally every Saturday, 10am-2pm at The Glitch
Rock up and write, surrounded by other writers.
It’s that simple.
Drop-in, bring friends, get your weekend words done early and then stick around for drinks and chats.
Book your spot for free so we can let you know about any venue updates and ensure we don’t overbook the venue, which has limited capacity:
Please feel free to get in touch with any thoughts, feelings and ideas. We’re all ears.
Lots of love,
~The Messy Women~
Isobel, Jess and Sorcha
